Watch this official video from Porsche about 2011 SUV Porsche Cayenne testing in desert of Dubai.

Looks really a fun. One day would like to try that. With Dubai gas prices it would be a cheap fun.

Enjoy.

SpeedArt Porsche Cayenne SpeedHybrid 450

Hybrid cars have great fuel economy and low emissions, but once Porsche and Ferrari started developing the hybrid technology, battery boost would become a performance advantage, as much for burning rubber as for saving fuel. And where rubber is being burnt, there always will be tuners vying to burn even more.

Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid is hardly the pillar of earth-friendliness. And this is hardly the first time a tuner has taken a crack at it. But it´s the latest, and comes from Porsche tuning expert - SpeedArt. The package includes a 70-horsepower boost to the gasoline-burning V6 for a 450 HP output and a 0-60 time cut down by half a second to six flat. Not bad for a big sport-ute with a V6.

Electric drive modes are unaffected, allowing the Porsche Cayenne to operate on battery power alone while driving around town, with a slight increase to fuel consumption and also emissions once its performance is put to the test. An electronically-adjustable suspension riding on 22-inch forged wheels and a new exhaust system are also offered, and a full aero kit is under development.

2010 Lumma Design Porsche Cayenne Diesel video

Now that the States may be receiving a diesel variant for the Porsche Cayenne, it's fitting that we take a look at a tuning package for the luxury SUV. Americans may not be all too interested in a diesel from Porsche, but things change rapidly and we want to be prepared for it. The new tuning package comes from Lumma Design, who recently prepared a monstrous cosmetic package for the petrol version of the Cayenne.

For the diesel variant now being sold in Europe, Lumma Design has opted to not only give it a cosmetic makeover, but an engine makeover as well. A D-box plug and play kit has been added that increases the Cayenne's horsepower from 240 to 276. The torque also gets a jump from 550 to 630Nm. This change allows the SUV to get noticeable savings in fuel consumption. Who doesn't love that? And if you want to add a little flare under the hood as well, then Lumma can also provide the consumer with an engine optics package. This package consists of red-coated covers and a crest logo made of metal.

2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS

Unlike most SUVs, the 2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS delivers excellent handling and speed. New cabin tech options make it more livable for everyday driving.

Where other SUVs plod along like elephants, the Porsche Cayenne zips around like a cat. And we're not talking about some fat housecat that falls off the arm of the couch, then looks around like that was exactly what it meant to do. No, the Cayenne has the moves of a beast racing through the underbrush.

Put the Cayenne into sharp corners and it darts around like a fast sports car. There is only one other SUV that comes up to the Cayenne's level of handling, and that's the BMW X5 M.

The GTS sits lower than the standard Cayenne, and engine tuning gives it more horsepower. Intended for asphalt means that its locking differential won't see much use.
